Kathmandu: Global Cooperation for Development (GCD), a Lalitpur-based non-profit organization has distributed educational materials to around 450 students of Sarada Secondary School in Bharatpur of Chitwan.
The materials were donated by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) under the project Educational Support Program.
The donation items include a school bag filled with various educational materials including but not limited to stationery items, hygienic kits, and health kits among other items.
Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizen Uma Regmi handed over the items to the students amid a program organized at the school premises on Sunday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Regmi said that this type of programs motivates students to engage in creative and innovative activities. Investment in children is always welcome as schoolchildren feel special when they are covered by such programs, she added.
